  • Permitting and Application Data: In utilizing our workflow automations, users may upload permit and planning applications containing personal identifiers, property addresses, zoning information, project plans, and associated communication content.
  • Communications: When you contact us for support, request a demo, or send inquiries, we collect your contact information and the contents of your message.

B. Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data: We automatically collect details of your visits to our Site and Platform, including IP addresses, browser types, operating systems, referring URLs, device identifiers, and pages viewed.
  • Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to authenticate users, remember preferences, and analyze how our services are used.

  • To Provide the Services: Registering your account, validating permit/planning applications, generating automated documents, and enabling collaboration between applicants and local government reviewers.
  • To Improve and Optimize the Platform: Utilizing secure artificial intelligence (such as OpenAI and Claude) to analyze applications against local ordinances, parsing PDFs, and triaging communications.
  • To Support Security and Compliance: Verifying user identities, detecting and preventing fraud or security anomalies, conducting audits, and maintaining the overall integrity of our hosting environments.
  • To Communicate with You: Providing product updates, administrative alerts, responding to support tickets, and fulfilling contractual service level agreements.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We share personal data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • With Trusted Subprocessors: We engage third-party service providers to perform essential operational functions. These providers are bound by strict Data Protection Addenda (DPAs) and confidentiality agreements:
    • Cloud Hosting and Infrastructure: Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
    • Databases: Supabase.
    • AI Processing & PDF Parsing: OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), and Reducto.
    • Productivity & Communication: Google Workspace, Slack, and Superhuman.
    • Customer Management & Ticketing: Attio, Calendly, and Linear.
    • HR & Payroll: Rippling.
  • For Legal and Compelled Disclosures: We may disclose personal data to law enforcement, courts, or regulatory authorities if compelled to do so by a valid legal demand (e.g., search warrants, court orders, or subpoenas). We notify affected customers of such demands unless legally prohibited.
  • Business Transfers: If Verdant is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

A. Data Security
